Calling all 5th Grade Girls:
You are invited to join Kardivas!

What is Kardivas?
Kardivas is a character club for 5th grade girls that exists to encourage young girls that they are uniquely created with a purpose, that they have worth, and something valuable to contribute. Since 2005 Kardivas has been setting girls up for success in middle school through their weekly meetings, service projects and social events. Every 5th grade girl is invited to join.

What is the club like?
Our meetings are fun and lively.We have a snack, give awards, play ice breaker games and have meaningful discussions.Topics include: telling the truth, why gossip is bad, how to be a good friend, forgiving others, and being thankful.We also build in guest speakers and service projects during our meetings. In addition to the weekly meetings, Kardivas offers a Christmas and an Easter party, which are held outside of the Thursday meeting time, and are purely optional.

How is the club organized?
Kardivas is organized and managed by a team of leader moms who have 5th grade daughters at our school. Lake Travis High School senior girls serve as mentors for the club and lead the activities and discussions during club.

When and where does Kardivas meet?
Beginning October 2, Kardivas meets on Thursdays, from right after school till 4 pm on our school’s campus.

How much does it cost?
Kardivas is offered through Community Programs.The cost for the entire year of 22 club meetings during the fall/spring is $220.The cost covers weekly snacks, supplies,T-shirts and
incidentals.

How do I register?
Registration for the Community Programs After School Enrichment courses is open through Revtrak. You can visit www.ltisdschools.org to sign up for Kardivas.
