Book Fair Info!
Wed, Oct 13 8:18pm

Hello Everyone,

The students started previewing the book fair today and I can tell you that every single one of them is very excited. I think it was a major event missing from last school year.

Some of the students' wish lists came home today, others will come home tomorrow. They should also have a printed Scholastic flyer and a small sheet about the e-wallet. An e-wallet is like a lunch account for the book fair, so that if your child can stay after school and shop the book fair they can use that instead of bringing in cash.  Any leftover balance can be spent either online or at February's book fair.

The book fair will be open Monday and Tuesday from after school until 7:30pm. I know many parents are having their teacher conferences via Zoom, but please consider popping in to shop the book fair one of those nights. This year it's set up right in the front lobby so you can easily be in and out. It's important to note, we earn 50% of in person sales, but only 25% of online sales. Incidentally, the rest of the year we earn just 2% from online sales. If you want to buy your child(ren) books from Scholastic the two school book fairs are the best time! Books for your family and credit for the school. We use those funds to buy books for the classrooms, library, and of course for prizes!

Lastly, we're still in need of volunteers. The registers are split on either side of the lobby for each "wing". Pre-K-2 and then 3-6 so we definitely can't be in two places at once! You will earn a $10 Scholastic gift certificate per shift. It will help fulfill some of those wishes! If you can't do the full 2 hours just let me know and we'll take what time you have to give! You will find the sign-up here on Konstella.

Thank you all for your continued support!

Lisa
