WALKATHON ROUND-UP!
The 2025 Walkathon "Louie's Jungle Cruise" is this Saturday, October 18th!
EVENT REMINDERS
- Check out the Walkathon Participant Information page to get ready for Saturday. Scroll all the way to the bottom to read through the tips and tricks that will help make your walkathon a successful one!
- All participants must have a signed permission slip in order to participate in the walkathon. Paper slips will be coming home in Friday folders. If needed, you can print an extra copy here. Bring your hardcopy signed slip to the registration table on the day of walkathon to exchange for your Lap card.
- All participants must have a responsible adult chaperone at the event. For everyone’s safety and comfort, please leave pets and wheels (bikes/scooters etc.) at home.
📣Silent Auction Bidding Starts Tomorrow!
Log in to our bidding portal Silent Auction Pro and enter your payment information to start bidding. The silent auction will run this week and end on Saturday. Once you view the items you can set your max bids and let the app bid for you! Remember: We all love getting a bargain but the Silent Auction is to raise money for the school. If you end up paying more than the value of an item, you get a great item AND the satisfaction of knowing you have contributed to a great cause. It’s okay to bid high – our kids are worth it!
🏃♀️ Keep Collecting Pledges!
Please continue collecting pledges to support our Booksin students! Pledgestar will remain open for bids through next weekend. To help us reach our fundraising goals, we aim for a donation of $500 per student. Make your donation go further by using corporate matching. See mybesca.com/corporate-match for details.
⭐️Sign up to Volunteer
We are still looking for more volunteers! Sign up to volunteer for set-up and day-of Walkathon events. We are asking every family to sign up for at least 1 shift. Please note that parent volunteers for the day of Walkathon do not need to have district volunteer clearance since this event is not during regular school hours. Questions about parent volunteers? Please contact Kayla at volunteers@mybesca.com
Responsible youth volunteers of middle or high school age (ages 12-18 years) are also welcome to volunteer. Please review the available opportunities and sign up for the youth shift(s) you would like to volunteer for on Konstella. Students should be sure to bring any school paperwork required for credit of volunteer hours. Please also bring a signed permission form (available through the Konstella link) in order to participate. Questions about youth volunteers? Please contact Michelle Pilling at pillingmichelle@gmail.com.
👕Event T-shirts
All students will receive their Walkathon t-shirts this Thursday (10/16). Please have your student wear the shirt for the walkathon this Saturday. If you purchased additional shirts for the family, or signed up for a junior/alumni walker pass with t-shirt combo, these additional shirts will also be sent home with your designated student.
