WALKATHON ROUND-UP!
The 2025 Walkathon "Louie's Jungle Cruise" is less than two weeks away on Saturday, October 18! See below for all the ways to get involved - we need your help!
***This Wednesday (10/8) is the final day to sign up to be a Fun with Friends host or donate items to the Silent Auction***
📣Donate to the Silent Auction - LAST DAY TO DONATE IS 10/8
Please consider supporting the Walkathon Auction by donating personally or asking friends, family, or contacts you have at local businesses for donations. BESCA is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
⭐️ Host a "Fun with Friends" Event - LAST DAY TO SIGN-UP AS HOST IS 10/8
We are still looking for more hosts! Plan an activity or party, pick the date & time, and determine the price per guest. During the Walkathon Silent Auction, friends old & new can buy a ticket to attend your event! You (and optional co-hosts) host your event and all proceeds go to BESCA. These small events are one of the most fun ways to support our school!
Collect Pledges
Please continue collecting pledges to support our Booksin students! Pledgestar is our online pledge tool which allows you to send email and text requests for donations. It is incredibly easy to use and takes only a few minutes to sign-up and send pledge requests. To help us reach our fundraising goals, we aim for a donation of $500 per student.
**Make your donation go further by using corporate matching. See mybesca.com/corporate-match for details.
💪🏼 Sign up to Volunteer
Walkathon is powered by volunteers, and to host this event successfully we need you! Sign up to volunteer for set-up and day-of Walkathon events. We are asking every family to sign up for at least one shift. Please note that parent volunteers for the day of Walkathon do not need to have district volunteer clearance since this event is not during regular school hours. Questions about parent volunteers? Please contact Kayla at volunteers@mybesca.com.
Responsible youth volunteers of middle or high school age (ages 12-18 years) are also welcome to volunteer. Please review the available opportunities and sign up for the youth shift(s) you would like to volunteer for on Konstella. Students should be sure to bring any school paperwork required for credit of volunteer hours. Please also bring a signed permission form (available through the Konstella link) in order to participate.

Register your non-Booksin child as a Junior/Alumni Walker
We offer a Junior & Alumni walker pass so that younger and older siblings of current Booksin students can participate in the Walkathon. Remember, current Booksin students DO NOT need to purchase a pass or t-shirt. Every Booksin student is automatically signed up to participate and receives a free t-shirt. For younger or older siblings who wish to participate, you can purchase this pass. Options include a Junior/Alumni Walker Pass and T-shirt Bundle for $45, or purchase the pass a la carte for $25. You may purchase in advance in the BESCA shop by October 10, or sign up in person on the day of the event at the registration desk.
