🔹COSTUME EXCHANGE
Do you have any old or outgrown Halloween costumes sitting around? Bring them to Booksin for our costume exchange! This week, BESCA is collecting gently used costumes of all sizes starting Today, Monday October 6th through Thursday, October 9th. Drop donations off before or after school in the donation bin outside the front office. Donated costumes will be sorted and then made available for Booksin families to "shop" for free after school next Monday, October 13th, from 2:15pm-3:15pm. Remaining costumes will be donated to students at our sister school Allen@Steinbeck.
🔹DINING NIGHT OUT AT GIORGIO’S
Are you craving delicious Italian food or need a night off from cooking? Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7th, from 4:00pm-9:00pm, is a great time to enjoy our next dining night out fundraiser. Gather your friends and family, head over to Giorgio’s (located at 1445 Foxworthy Avenue, SJ), and enjoy some amazing Italian food. Giorgio’s will donate 15% of your purchase back to Booksin! Make sure to show the following voucher to the restaurant for BESCA to receive a donation.

On Friday, October 10th, at 8:30am, please join Principal Tan for this month's virtual meeting. Principal's Coffees are a great way to hear about what's happening at Booksin. Each session covers a specific topic such as curriculum, attendance, school safety and more. Please use this LINK to join the meeting.

🔹YEARBOOK LEAD SHADOW NEEDED
This school year is Karen Wong's last year at Booksin, and BESCA will be seeking a new parent to take on the important role of Yearbook Lead next school year. The Shadow position does not have much work to do this year unless you want to be more involved. You will follow along with the process and stay connected with emails and communications with the team. There is a clear process and it is well organized. You do not need professional graphic design experience to be the Yearbook Lead. If you have an eye for design, an interest in learning, strong organizational skills and attention to details, and the ability to meet deadlines, we’d love to hear from you.
