🔹BESCA GENERAL MEETING ON FRIDAY
Our next general membership meeting is this Friday, November 14th at 8:20am in the cafeteria. We’re excited to share some Walkathon updates and insights as well as discuss upcoming winter events. Join us in-person after drop off or attend virtually using this Webex link. The agenda will be posted to Konstella by mid-week.
🔹YEARBOOK EARLY BIRD PRESALE
Preorder your 2025-2026 yearbook now through January 31st and lock in early-bird pricing: $30 for a softcover or $50 for a hardcover. For an extra cost, you can also add personalized pages to the back of your child's book. After purchasing a personalized yearbook, you have until Thursday, April 16th to complete your page customization.
🔹CHIPOTLE DINING FUNDRAISER
Mark your calendars, our next dining night out fundraiser is on Wednesday, November 12th at Chipotle located at 1815 South Bascom Avenue. Dine in or take out anytime between 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and they will give 25% of your purchase back to Booksin! These dining night outs are a great opportunity to take a night from cooking, socialize with friends and family, all the while raising money for Booksin. Use code E6Z8GAZ if ordering online or show the below flyer for Booksin to get credit. Feel free to share with your local friends! 
🔹BOOKSIN STUDENT MAKER'S FAIRE
The first ever Booksin Maker’s Faire will take place in the Booksin cafeteria on Friday, November 21st! Booksin students will show off their creativity, practice entrepreneurial skills, and learn about money management in a supportive environment by running their own booth and selling items to students and families in our school community. Save the date and plan to come shop our student-run booths from 4:00-6:00pm! Please reach out to Keara at events@mybesca.com with any questions.
🔹SECOND HARVEST FOOD DRIVE
1 in 6 of our Silicon Valley neighbors rely on Second Harvest for food. Booksin families are helping support their work, and every dollar makes a difference. We’ve set up a fundraising page to help provide meals to local families in need. Participation is completely optional, and contributions will be accepted through November 30th. You can learn more and donate here.
🔹HICKLEBEE’S BOOK FAIR
Booksin is partnering with Hicklebee’s Bookstore again this year to transform our library into a mini bookstore. The book fair will run from Monday, December 1st through Friday, December 5th (hours vary by day so please refer to the flyer below for exact times). Students, families, and friends can buy a wide variety of books and small gifts for kids. Books make great gifts for all ages, so come do your holiday shopping early at the book fair!
The Book Fair can't happen without volunteers! Volunteer shifts are 1-2 hours and include ringing up purchases at the cash register, monitoring lines, and supervising exits to manage traffic flow.
