🔹BESCA GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING THIS FRIDAY
All parents/guardians of current Booksin students are automatically members of BESCA’s General Membership. General Membership Meetings are open to the entire school community and everyone is welcome to attend. These 1 hour meetings are a chance to hear about upcoming social events, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, budget updates, and more. We hope you’ll join us at the next meeting this Friday, February 27 at 8:20 a.m. in room 13 or on Webex.
🔹SUSHI CONFIDENTIAL ALL WEEK DINING OUT FUNDRAISER
Sushi Confidential (all locations) is giving back to Booksin ALL WEEK with our next dining out fundraiser! Dine in or take out starting TODAY through this Thursday, February 26th, and Sushi Confidential will generously donate 20% of your purchase back to Booksin! See the flyer for details and please share with your local friends! 
🔹BOOKSIN SPIRITWEAR ONLINE SHOP OPEN FOR A LIMITED TIME
Attention Bulldogs! You asked, we delivered! Booksin Spiritwear is available for online purchasing NOW through mid-May. It’s the perfect chance to show your Booksin pride and update your spring wardrobe. Shop the BESCA SPIRITWEAR SHOP HERE or scan the QR code on the flyer below. Orders will be delivered to classrooms each Friday after the order is received. 
🔹WALKATHON 2026-2027: KIDS CHOICE CONTEST
Making Booksin history starts now! For the first time ever, Booksin students will have the chance to come up with the theme for our next Walkathon in October! Contest details and submission packets were sent home on Friday, February 13. Submit your idea via the printed packet by February 27th. In March, the school community will vote on all completed submissions and YOUR idea could be chosen! Be a part of Booksin history and join the fun! Email walkathon@mybesca.com if you have questions.
🔹MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL BOOTH HOSTS NEEDED!
Our 4th Annual Multicultural Festival is happening on Friday, March 13, 2026 and we need more booth hosts! Just like in past years, the Spirit Court will come alive with booths representing the many countries and cultures at Booksin. Each table will showcase a country's culture, food, traditions, and/or games for students to learn and enjoy. Visit this Google form for more information and to pick a country you would love to share with the Booksin community! The deadline to sign up is THIS Friday, February 27th, 2026.
At the Multicultural Festival, students can purchase a “passport” to visit each country’s booth, complete a learning activity, and collect a stamp along the way. Once their passport is filled, they can turn it in for a fun prize at the event. Student Passport sales will open soon, stay tuned for a link! Questions? 🔹GLOW DANCE VOLUNTEERS & TICKET SWAP
The Booksin Glow Dance is this Friday, February 27th. We still need volunteers to help make it a glowing success! SJUSD clearance is not needed for these positions since it is after school hours. Please use this link to sign up. Thanks for volunteering!

As a reminder, there will be three Glow Dances this year and the times are as follows:
⭐️TK-K Grades: 4:15 - 5:00pm
⭐️1st - 3rd Grades: 5:30 - 6:30pm
⭐️3rd - 5th Grades: 7:00 - 8:00pm
🔹BOOKSIN GOLF INVITATIONAL PARENT SOCIAL
Join us for the 1st Annual Louie’s Links Booksin Golf Invitational parent social event on Friday, March 20th. We will be teeing off at 9 a.m. at The Golf Club at Moffett Field. Registration is $150 per player and includes a 4-person scramble style golf tournament, lunch, swag, prizes, and more! Friends are welcome to purchase tickets, as well. We will also be pre-selling merchandise specifically branded for the event in the BESCA Shop, stay tuned! Be sure to reserve your spot early, we are at risk of selling out. Looking fore-ward to seeing you there!
🔹SEE'S CANDY FUNDRAISER
Through March 20th, BESCA is partnering with See’s Candy for a yummy spring fundraiser. Similar to our Dining Night Outs, this is an optional way to support our school. When you buy some delicious chocolates, a portion of your purchase goes back to Booksin. (BESCA earns around 20% of the purchase price, depending on the item). Treats can be ordered directly through this link, and See’s will ship purchases straight to the buyer’s doorstep.
You can share our link with family and friends anywhere in the U.S., so supporters who live out of town can participate too. Thanks for considering this sweet way to support Booksin!
