GENERAL BESCA MEETING
Booksin is a truly awesome community with so many wonderful activities throughout the school year. Please join us for the next virtual General BESCA Meeting on Tuesday, February 25th, at 7:00pm to learn about all that is happening at Booksin. We'll be sharing event recaps, discussing our exciting upcoming spring events, and hearing from the WGMS School-Connected Organizations—a must if you have a graduating 5th grader and want to learn more about how to get involved at Willow Glen Middle this Fall! 2025-2026 BESCA NOMINATIONS
Are you interested in taking on a leadership role with BESCA next school year or do you know a parent who would be a great fit? We’d love to hear from you! If you're interested or would like to nominate someone, please fill out this brief nomination form. The VP of Volunteers & President will follow up to provide more details and gauge interest. Submitting this form simply expresses interest—it does not commit you to running if you decide it’s not the right fit. Elections will take place during the BESCA General Membership meeting on April 1, 2025.
ADELITA’S TAQUERIA ALL DAY DINING FUNDRAISER
Our next dining fundraiser is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25th at Adelita’s Taqueria, located at 1896 Curtner Avenue, San Jose. Gather your local family and friends and enjoy some tasty Mexican food while supporting Booksin - Mention BOOKSIN when you dine-in or take-out and Adelita’s will donate 15% of the cost of your meal back to BESCA! 
SPRING CLASS PICTURE DAY
Booksin’s Class Picture Day is on Wednesday, February 26th. Visit www.mydorian.com, search for Booksin, and click the “Order” button to place your class picture order. See flyer for more information.
BESCA E-WASTE DRIVE
Our school is holding a neighborhood e-waste fundraiser this Saturday, March 1st, from 10am-2pm! Bring your unwanted electronics (computers, laptops, phones, tablets, TVs, printers, and more!) to help us recycle responsibly and raise money for Booksin. This event is open to the entire community so spread the word! Please see the attached flyer for a list of accepted items. Let's clean up and cash in!
YEARBOOK PICTURES
Did you take some great pics at the Glow Dance or Sports Spirit Day? Don't forget to submit your favorites for the yearbook! We are seeking photos from community events including the Walkathon, Halloween Parade, Movie Night, Bingo Night, Spelling Bee, Holiday Spirit Day, Pajama Day, Silly Hair/Hat Day, and the Glow Dance. Click here to UPLOAD. If you have classroom specific photos, contact your yearbook volunteer for your classroom.
Deadline to submit community photos for consideration is March 7.
Deadline to submit photos to your classroom volunteer is February 28 as they also need to submit their selections by March 7th.
BOOKSIN BASH EARLY BIRD TICKETS
We are thrilled to bring back the beloved Booksin Bash this year! The Bash is an adults-only evening event for all parents, staff, and supporters of Booksin. Tickets include cocktails/mocktails, heavy appetizers, a live auction, and DJ dancing! This year's event will be held at the historic San Jose Women’s Club in downtown SJ on Friday, March 28th from 6:00pm-11:00pm. Early Bird Tickets are available in the mybesca.com shop until March 10th for $100 per person. Prices will rise to $125 per person on March 11th onward or until we sell out.
âď¸ Need childcare for the evening? BESCA is partnering with Warrior Code Taekwondo to provide childcare for some of the evening. They will be offering a special Booksin-only kids night out event from 5:30pm-9:30pm for $50 a child and will even be giving a percentage of the earnings back to BESCA! Stay tuned, an ordering link for the 3/28 Kids Night will be available soon!
