🔹LOUIE NEON T-SHIRT SALES CLOSING TONIGHT
BESCA is selling limited edition Booksin neon t-shirts for $15 for youth and $25 for adult. T-shirts are preorder only, we will not have extras in stock. Pick up your t-shirt in person on 2/26 in the spirit court at school drop off/pickup or at check-in for the Glow dance on 2/27. You do not need to attend the glow dance to order a shirt. Place your order in the BESCA Shop by TONIGHT AT 9:00PM.


🔹ADELITA’S ALL DAY DINING OUT FUNDRAISER
Adelita’s Taqueria & Bar, located at 1896 Curtner Avenue, is Booksin’s next ALL-DAY Dining Fundraiser! Head over anytime TOMORROW, Tuesday, February 10th for dine-in or take out, mention Booksin when you order and Adelita’s will donate 15% of your purchase back to our school! Feel free to share this event with local friends! 


🔹WALKATHON 2026-2027: KIDS CHOICE CONTEST
Making Booksin history starts now! For the first time ever, Booksin students will have the chance to come up with the theme for our next Walkathon in October! 3rd grade students Miles, Davis, Rish, and Ethan recently shared an incredibly creative idea with us for a possible theme and it inspired us to launch something brand new by opening it up to everyone at Booksin! Contest details and submission packets will be sent home this week in your child's Friday folder. Grab your friends, put on your thinking caps, and submit your idea by February 27th. In March, the school community will vote on all completed submissions and YOUR idea could be chosen! Be a part of Booksin history and join the fun! Email walkathon@mybesca.com if you have questions.

🔹MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL BOOTHS
Our 4th annual Multicultural Festival is coming up on Friday, March 13th, 2026! Tables will be set up in our Spirit Court with different countries displaying their culture, food, and games, to everyone in the Booksin Community. Students can purchase a "passport" to visit each country's booth, participate in a learning activity, and receive a stamp for each booth visited. Completed passports are exchanged for a small prize at the event.

📍Sign up NOW to volunteer to host a booth for the Multicultural Festival. Visit this Google form for more information and to pick a country you would love to share with the Booksin community. The deadline to sign up is Friday, February 27th, 2026. So far we have one country signed up to present. For more questions, email BESCA's VPs of Events (Keara and Kelly) at events@mybesca.com. 

🔹GLOW DANCE VOLUNTEERS & TICKET SWAP
The Booksin Glow Dance is on Friday, February 27th and needs volunteers to help make it a glowing success! SJUSD clearance is not needed for these positions since it is after school hours. Please use this link to sign up, thanks for volunteering!

If you have tickets you are unable to use or are looking for an extra ticket, please join the ticket swap social group on Konstella here to buy/sell unused tickets.

🔹SEE'S CANDY FUNDRAISER
Now through March 20th, BESCA is partnering with See’s Candy for a yummy spring fundraiser. Similar to our Dining Night Outs, this is an optional way to support our school. When you buy some delicious chocolates, a portion of your purchase goes back to Booksin. (BESCA earns around 20% of the purchase price, depending on the item). Treats can be ordered directly through this link, and See’s will ship purchases straight to the buyer’s doorstep.
