E-WASTE RECYCLING RECAP

We had a successful E-waste Collection Event with Green Mouse over the weekend! Many very grateful Willow Glen neighbors dropped off electronic items to be recycled. The feedback from everyone was extremely positive with many asking when we plan to do this event again. Thank you to everyone who participated, and to those who helped get the word out!

YEARBOOK PICTURES

Did you take some great pics at the Glow Dance? We need more photos of the TK-K session! We are also seeking photos from community events including the Movie Night, Bingo Night, Holiday Spirit Day, Pajama Day, Silly Hair/Hat Day. Click here to upload your photos. Deadline to submit community photos for consideration is THIS FRIDAY, March 7.

2025-2026 BESCA NOMINATIONS

Elections are coming up at our next BESCA General Membership meeting on April 1, 2025. We are still in great need of 2 parents to step up and run for VP of Technology and VP of Fundraising. These are both very easy, behind-the-scenes positions, that require little in-person time and can be done at home. It is critical that we someone in place for these two positions for the new school year.  Click here to read their role description or to suggest someone (or yourself!) for us to follow up with.  Submitting this form simply expresses interest—it does not commit you to running if you decide it’s not the right fit.

Our next dining fundraiser is tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4th at Yuki Sushi, located at 1140 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose. Gather your local family and friends anytime between 4:30pm to 9:00pm and enjoy some delectable sushi, all the while supporting Booksin - Mention BOOKSIN when you dine-in or take-out and Yuki Sushi will donate 10% of the cost of your meal back to BESCA.

MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL: HOW TO HOST A BOOTH

Our 3rd annual Multicultural Festival is on Friday, April 25, 2025. If you've never been to this festival before, it is quite the spectacular experience. Tables are set up in our Spirit Court with different countries displaying their culture, food, and games, to everyone in the Booksin Community. “Travelers” will pay for a "passport" to visit each country, and they will have their passport stamped as they visit countries from around the world.
📍Sign up NOW to volunteer to host a booth for the multicultural festival. Use the google form for more information and to pick a country you  would love to share with the Booksin community. The deadline to sign up is March 14, 2025. For more questions email Karen Wong at karebalina@gmail.com.
