🔹LAST CALL FOR YEARBOOK ORDERS!
Preorder your 2025-2026 yearbook by this Friday, April 17th!! Don't miss out! Yearbooks will be delivered to your child's classroom during the last week of school. For an extra cost, you may choose to add personalized pages to the back of your student’s book. If you purchase this add-on option, you have until Thursday, April 16th to complete your page customization online.
🔹BOOKSIN THEATER: MOANA JR.
Congratulations to the cast of Moana Jr! Just before spring break, this talented group of 3rd–5th graders brought incredible energy and heart to the stage with two casts performing a total of six shows for family, friends, and fellow students. A special thank you to our volunteer Director and Booksin parent, Hilary Stevens, along with her dedicated team of parent producers, for making this production possible. We are so grateful to have such a strong after-school theater program at Booksin and are already looking forward to another wonderful season next year. Well done to everyone involved! .jpeg)
🔹BOOKSIN BASH TICKETS
Get your tickets now at www.mybesca.com/shop/booksin-bash!! There are less than 2 weeks left until the Booksin Bash! Join us on Friday, April 24th from 6-11pm for a cocktail/mocktail party with a live auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and dancing. This is an adults-only social event for the Booksin community - parents, staff, alumni, and friends. The event will be held at the San Jose Women’s Club, a beautiful historic 1920’s Spanish Revival building in the heart of Downtown San Jose. If you like to dress for a theme, we encourage you to embrace the Wes Anderson aesthetic. See the invitation below for a QR link to a mood board but feel free to wear whatever you'd like!
🔹SPRING CLEANING CLOTHING DRIVE
Booksin Elementary is proud to partner with another SJUSD school, Allen at Steinbeck, for their annual Ally’s Closet event, supporting local families in need. THIS WEEK, Booksin is collecting gently used clothing and shoes of all sizes to donate to Steinbeck's school community. Collection bins are located around Booksin today through Thursday, April 13th-16th. This is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning while supporting other families in our local San Jose community!
🔹CREPEVINE DINING FUNDRAISER
Crepvine, located at 1100 Lincoln Avenue, is Booksin’s next dining out fundraiser! Visit the restaurant any time between 3-9pm on Thursday, April 16th, and Crepevine will donate 10% (as well as match your donation) back to BESCA. Just show the flyer below. We hope to see you there!
🔹GARDEN CLEAN-UP THIS WEEK
Spring is in the air and our Garden program leads could use your help to do some spring cleaning in the garden! This Thursday, April 16th from 5:30pm-7:30pm, come on down to the Booksin garden to help with weeding, raking, and other tasks. This is a perfect time to spend time with family and friends while getting stuff done! Students are welcome to join. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. See you then!
🔹SJ GIANTS FAMILY BASEBALL NIGHT
On Friday, May 8th at 7pm, the San Jose Giants are hosting Booksin families for family baseball night! Join your friends (and Louie🐾) for an exciting night at the ballpark, complete with games between innings, a 7th inning stretch sing-a-long, and fireworks after the game. Tickets are only $15 each (including processing fees) and available here or using the QR Code on the flyer. Use the code BOOKSIN26 when buying your tickets, a portion of the ticket sales will be donated back to Booksin. We look forward to seeing you there!
