MULTICULTURAL NIGHT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
Our world travelers had such fun eating and participating in activities from around the world. It was heartwarming to see everyone chatting and getting to know each other's cultures. Our community is truly diverse! The volunteers created amazing displays and every student came away happy travelers. Thank you to all the volunteers that made it happen and a very special thank you to Karen Wong for organizing the event! We are continually impressed by all the parents and alumni that come and help to make our events a huge success.
BOOKSIN BULLDOGS KINDNESS CHALLENGE WEEK
Booksin’s Kindness Week begins today! Throughout this week, students will wear various colors to represent different aspects of kindness. In addition, students will engage in several activities to show that our Booksin community is kind! See flyer below for more details.
BOOKSIN GARDEN PLANT SALE
Swing by the Booksin Garden after school this Thursday, May 1, for our annual plant sale! Purchase veggie plants to kickstart your garden, sip on fresh-made lemonade, and treat yourself to some tasty baked goods — all for a great cause. Every purchase helps the Booksin Garden program!
ALL DAY DINING NIGHT OUT FUNDRAISER AT HALEH PASTRY AND CAFE (TWO DAYS!)
Our next all day dining night out fundraiser is a two day event! On Friday, May 2 & Saturday, May 3, from 9am-9pm, head to Haleh Pastry and Cafe, located at 2265 Winchester Boulevard, Campbell, 95008. All next week, May 5 - May 9, we will celebrate and honor our amazing teachers with a week full of teacher-themed gifts and surprises! Your Room Parent(s) will be reaching out with details and ways to participate, but here’s a sneak peek at what we have planned to make our teachers feel extra special.
FAMILY BASEBALL NIGHT AT THE SJ GIANTS
The ever popular family baseball night at the SJ Giants game is less than a month away! On Friday, May 9 at 7:00pm, join friends and family for an incredibly fun night filled with baseball, socializing, yummy food and drinks, and an awesome fireworks show to conclude the night. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here. Use the promo code BOOKSIN25 and a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to BESCA! We look forward to seeing you there!
ART@BOOKSIN STUDENT ART SHOW
It’s been another incredible year of Art@Booskin! During Open House on Tuesday, May 13, the Student Art Show will be held in the cafeteria from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Come and enjoy the wonderful original art created by our students in TK - 5th grade!
The Art Show is a fantastic evening where we celebrate our students' creativity and showcase their art. The cafeteria is transformed into a gallery with an art piece from every student on display - that's over 700 works of art representing 50 unique lessons! The success of the Art@Booksin program is made possible thanks to all of our dedicated volunteer art docents who lead monthly lessons in 2D and 3D art. You will be amazed at what the students have created this year. See you at the show!
FAMILY FUN NIGHT
BESCA is pleased to announce our Family Fun Night, which is a long-standing tradition for our school. This event closes out the school year and celebrates our families as we go into summer, offering an evening of carnival-style games, activities, and food.
As we are planning for Family Fun Night on Friday, May 16, we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for our Booksin supporters and local businesses. You can sponsor one of our carnival games at the event and in return, your generosity will ensure our enrichment programs (i.e. music, art, garden, social-emotional learning, physical education, and field trips) can continue to be delivered to our students. Due to the limited number of sponsorship opportunities, participating sponsors will be highly visible and may be limited to a first come, first served basis. Please see the flyer below for the events you can sponsor.

JAMBA JUICE SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP CONTEST
Don't forget that Jamba Juice is sponsoring a contest between several local schools. From March 17th through June 17th, every purchase at Jamba Juice (exclusively at the 1570 Bascom Avenue location) earns 1 token for Booksin. The school with the most tokens wins $500!
