YEARBOOK INFO
Yearbook Distribution
Yearbooks will be distributed to classrooms this Thursday, May 29! Every yearbook has been labeled specifically for each student who pre-ordered a book. If you have any questions, email Karen Wong at yearbook@mybesca.com.

Yearbook Shadow Needed for 2025-2026
Are you someone who loves the yearbook, is highly organized, and enjoys design? Our current Yearbook Lead has one more year at Booksin and we are looking for someone to shadow them next year in order to learn the ins and outs before taking over the role for the 2026-2027 school year. No professional design experience needed, just a desire to learn, strong organizational skills, and an eye for laying out images. SAVE THE DATE: TK/KINDER PLAYDATES COMING THIS SUMMER
Do you have or know of an incoming TK/K student? Join us for BESCA's summer meet and greet playdates and get to know other parents and students! These casual drop-in playdates will be held on the TK/K playground on Sat, July 12 and Sat, Aug 2 from 9:00-11:00am. BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES
We know it's only May but we also know how fast summer flies! To help make back-to-school shopping a little easier, we've partnered with TeachersLists again this year. You can now find your child’s fall school supply list online, ready for one-click shopping with major retailers. Whether you like to get things done early or prefer to wait until August, the list will be available all summer long at www.mybesca.com/school-supplies. You can also access the site by scanning the QR code on the flyer below. 

 
BOOKSIN GARDEN COOKBOOK COMING SOON
Do you have a favorite recipe that highlights fresh ingredients from the garden? Would you love to share this with the Booksin Community?  Now’s your chance! Use the QR code from the flyer below to submit up to three recipes to be included in the Booksin Garden Cookbook. The cookbook is expected to be published during the 2025-2026 school year.  See flyer below for more details.

 
VOLUNTEER CLEARANCE FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR                       As we wrap up the current school year, a quick reminder that the annual SJUSD volunteer clearance application for the 2025–2026 school year will open in mid-July. Applications submitted before then apply to the 2024-2025 school year only. We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and look forward to welcoming our volunteers for the new school year soon!

JAMBA JUICE CONTEST
 Don't forget that Jamba Juice is sponsoring a contest between several local schools. From March 17th through June 17th, every purchase at Jamba Juice (exclusively at the 1570 Bascom Avenue location) earns 1 token for Booksin.  The school with the most tokens wins $500! How to participate: Each time you visit Jamba Juice to order your favorite smoothie or snack, tell them you are with Booksin to make sure our school gets credit. Share this with friends and family - every sip counts!

🎓Congratulations to our graduating 5th graders - we wish you all the best as you head off to middle school! 🐾 This is our final BESCA Bulletin of the 2024–2025 school year. Weekly bulletins will return in early August as we gear up for the start of the 2025–2026 school year. To our returning Bulldogs, stay tuned to www.mybesca.com for updates and important information for the new school year. Please note: classroom and school-wide communications from this year will be archived later this summer. Once archived, these messages will no longer be visible in your feed and classroom messages will not be saved. We’ll send a reminder before this happens but in the meantime, be sure to download any classroom files or photos you'd like to keep by Thursday, July 31st.
