Booksin Elementary has proudly hosted its annual Walkathon for over 30 years, making it one of the most cherished events of the year. Students spend the day walking to raise money for the school through pledges, earning prizes based on the miles they walk. In addition to the walk, BESCA raises funds through various activities at the event, including food booths, a Marketplace, the Teacher Fun Drawing, Fun with Friends, and a Silent Auction. Kids can also take breaks for fun activities like getting crazy hair or temporary tattoos. It’s an all-day celebration for our community, bringing together over 700 children and their families!

 

Saturday, October 19th, 2024, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

 

To run this event successfully we need the help of responsible youth volunteers of middle or high school age (ages 12-18).

 

Please review the available opportunities and sign up for the shift(s) you would like to volunteer for by clicking the sign-up button next to your chosen shift.

 

Please check in at the volunteer booth near the school entrance lot on Marques Ave. at least 15 minutes PRIOR to your shift .

 

Please be sure to bring any school paperwork required for credit of volunteer hours.  Please also bring the attached Permission form signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate.
