Booksin Elementary has proudly hosted its annual Walkathon for over 30 years, making it one of the most cherished events of the year. Students spend the day walking to raise money for the school through pledges, earning prizes based on the miles they walk. In addition to the walk, BESCA raises funds through various activities at the event, including food booths, a Marketplace, the Teacher Fun Drawing, Fun with Friends, and a Silent Auction. Kids can also take breaks for fun activities like getting crazy hair or temporary tattoos. It’s an all-day celebration for our community, bringing together over 700 children and their families!

 

To make this event a success, we need YOU! Please take a look at the available opportunities and sign up for the shift(s) that work best for you. Thank you so much for volunteering and supporting our biggest fundraiser of the year!

 

Please Note: Event Volunteers for the day of the Walkathon do not need to have completed district volunteer clearance, as the event takes place outside of regular school hours.
