Welcome back, Booksin Families!

 

The first day of school is just a few days away! School starts on Thursday, August 8. To ensure everyone has  a smooth transition back to school, please note the following:

 

Bell Schedule

All grades will start at 8:10 am and will be dismissed at 2:05 pm. Please arrive at school no earlier than 7:50 am, unless you are getting breakfast, which starts at 7:40 am.

Parents will be allowed on campus to drop off and pick up students. However, parents are being asked to leave after the morning bell and to arrive no earlier than 1:55 pm for pick up.

 

School Supplies

While the district provides basic supplies to support learning, our teachers request that families donate specific supplies to supplement the classroom materials. All donated supplies are shared amongst the students in the classroom. The school supply shopping lists for each grade have been posted at ​​https://www.mybesca.com/school-supplies

 

Incoming 1st-5th Grade Students

One of the best ways to kick off the school year is by finding out which class you’ll be in and which friends will be in it with you! Class lists for grades 1-5 will be posted on the library windows on Tuesday, August 6 at 4:00 pm. Once you know your assigned class, log in to Konstella and add your child(ren) to the correct classroom. Follow this link for more information about how to do this.

 

Incoming TK and Kindergarten students

On Tuesday, August 6 at 1pm, find out which class you are in and connect with new classmates!  Classes will be posted outside Booksin’s front office. At 1:30pm, please join us at the green tables near the cafeteria and Cline Park; we’ll provide a sweet treat for enrolled students to enjoy. The Principal and some members of the BESCA Board will be there to answer questions and welcome you to the school.  

 

Welcome Back Meetings

We hope you will join us for one of the BESCA Welcome Back Meetings to meet the new BESCA Board and hear about what we have planned for this year! You will also have a chance to hear from Principal Tan and the BESCA Program Leads about this school year’s programs, events, and volunteer opportunities. 

 

  • 1st-5th grade Families:  Thursday, August 8, 8:20 am in the Cafeteria
  • TK/K Families:    Thursday, August 8, 9:15 am in the Cafeteria
  • All grades: Friday, August 9, 9:00 am via WebEx

 

Merch N Munch

Please join us Friday, August 9 at 2:05pm  for Merch n' Munch.  You will have the opportunity to purchase Booksin spirit wear and merchandise. The next time to buy Booksin merchandise will be at the Walkathon. At the Merch n' Munch, you can also purchase Kona Ice. Cash and electronic payment will be accepted. Look for us on the blacktop!

 

Walkathon Fundraiser 

The 37th annual Booksin Walkathon will be Saturday, October 19, 2024. The kick-off volunteer informational meetings will be held online on the following dates:

  • Option 1: Wed, August 21, 2024 at 9:00 am via Webex
  • Option 2: Thurs, August 22, 2024 at 7:00 pm via Webex
