Braeburn Garden & Nature Committee

The Braeburn Garden & Nature Committee is looking for volunteers interested in helping to improve the garden beds around our school campus.  Our goal is to create a blend of pollinator, sensory, and learning gardens that are sustainable, lower maintenance, and provide opportunities for teachers to incorporate nature into daily learning.

Here are some ways you can be involved!

Click HERE to Make a "Virtual Donation" to fund the purchase of one or more plants.

**Just be sure to select the Garden Club option in the drop down**

Virtual Plant Donation:

$5 - Pays for an herb or vegetable pot we’ll be installing in the vegetable garden.
$20 - Pays for a pot of flowers for the pollinators to enjoy or a larger herb to add to the sensory garden.
$40 - Pays for a flowering shrub that will produce berries for the birds to enjoy.
$200 - Sponsor an entire garden bed! A $200 gift will sponsor all of the plantings in one of Braeburn’s garden beds, and may even help us fund the creation of new garden beds!
An amount of your choosing: Feel free to donate an amount that works for you - all donations will go to improving our gardens at Braeburn.

Volunteer For An Upcoming Work Day:

We have two upcoming work days scheduled:

  • Sunday May 5th 10:30-12:30pm - Garden cleanup day!
  • Friday May 17th 3:30-6:30 - Planting Day!

VOLUNTEER HERE

You can also share from your own garden/yard or purchase from the Wish List at a local garden center!

Place a divided perennial from your yard with the soil & roots in either a plastic pot OR a ziplock/plastic back and leave in the front office at Braeburn. While we welcome a wide range of plants, check out our “wish list” HERE for specific requests. Plant drop off days will be Wednesday and Thursday May 16th & 17th. If possible, please label your plant so we know what it is and, if you’d like, where/who it came from.

Please reach out to Zach Potter-Vose on Konstella with any questions.
