Dear Families,
We are so excited to launch Braeburn’s First Annual Jump-a-Thon!
This will be our only pledge drive of the school year (we will be trying this instead of our typical Read-a-Thon), and our goal is to make it feel like a true schoolwide event — focused on movement, participation, community, and supporting Braeburn.
Jump & Move!
Next week, students will be jumping and moving both at school and at home.
During the school day, students will jump rope in PE and participate in workshops with Jump Rope World Champion Nick Woodard from Learnin’ the Ropes.
Every student will also receive from the PTB:
-
A jump rope to keep
-
A Bobcat Challenge Card with fun jump-rope and movement challenges to complete at home
Both will come home this Friday.
Students who complete at least 6 challenges and return their Bobcat Challenge Card by November 17 will be entered into drawings for some special Braeburn experiences:
-
Lunch Bunch with Mrs. Sinatro
-
Morning Announcements — two winners
-
Free School Store for the rest of the year
-
Assistant PE Teacher During One PE Class!
Our Schoolwide Fundraising Goal: $15,000
Alongside the fitness challenge, we are asking families to help us work toward a $15,000 schoolwide fundraising goal.
Funds raised through Jump-a-Thon help the PTB provide classroom and educational resources, enrichment programs, field trips and grade-level experiences, Kindergarten resources, teacher appreciation, community events, and other opportunities for Braeburn students throughout the year.
And as we reach each milestone, the whole school gets to celebrate:
$7,500 → Extra 15 minutes of recess
$10,000 → Everyone shops FREE at the December School Store
$15,000 → Inflatable Obstacle Courses* at PEP Day 2027
And There’s More!
Has your child ever come home raving about the Minute-to-Win-It challenges with Miss Socci and Mr. Fritch at our monthly school assemblies?
Now they could get the chance to join in!
For every $10 your student raises, they’ll receive one entry into a drawing for the chance to go head-to-head with Mr. Fritch and Miss Socci in a fierce Minute-to-Win-It competition at the next school assembly!
So $10 raised = 1 entry, $50 = 5 entries, $100 = 10 entries, and so on.
More information about registering for 99Pledges, registering and sharing your child’s fundraising page will be sent home over the next few days.
We can’t wait to see our Bobcats jumping, moving, and working together for Braeburn!
