Join the PTB Board

      2019-2020 Academic Year

 

We are currently recruiting for positions on the PTB board. There is so much talent in our parent community and we are always looking for ways to incorporate it into the PTB and our children’s experience at Braeburn.

 

No PTB experience needed, only a willingness to be involved.

 

The following board positions need to be filled:

 

Co-President (2 year commitment)

  • Oversees the PTB board and events throughout year, responsible for monthly PTB meetings, communicates regularly with the principal, teachers and other parents as needed
  • Set PTB calendar of events for the school year
  • The first year is spent learning/supporting the more experienced co-president and attending school events
  • Time commitment: Approximately 12-15 hours per month

Co-Vice President of Community Outreach (2 Year Commitment)

 

  • Oversees all activities related to community and teacher outreach (for example: food for teachers during conference week, teacher appreciation week, winter gear drive, holiday gift baskets, spring picnic, etc.)
  • The first year is spent learning/supporting the more experienced Co-VP of Community Outreach
  • Time commitment: Approximately 8-10 hours per month and attendance at monthly PTB meeting

 

 

Co-Vice President of Fundraising (2 Year Commitment)

  • Oversees all committees relating to fundraising
  • Ongoing events: Spirit Wear (twice a year), Box Tops
  • Special Events: Fall Fair, Paul Cryan Pictures, Nights Out (Chiplote, Noodles and Co, Sweet Frogs) Wolf pack game, Yard Goats
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 8-10 hours per month and attendance at monthly PTB meeting

 

PTB Co-Treasurer (2 year commitment)

  • Responsible for keeping an accurate account of income and expenses
  • Will work with CPA on annual review of accounts and throughout the year if necessary
  • Check Treasurers mailbox weekly
  • Communicate monthly with teachers regarding wish list and field trip expenses
  • This job is divided by one person collecting/depositing checks and the other reimbursing/distributing checks
  • Time commitment: Approximately 6-8 hours per month and attendance at monthly PTB meeting
