Breakthrough Families Camping Trip
Wed, Mar 13 10:11am

Hi Breakthrough Families- We are organizing a camping trip for school families the weekend of June 15.  The outing will take place at Prince William Forest Park, which is about one hour from Washington, and where a similar camping trip took place last year.  We have reserved campsites that can accommodate up to 65 people and plan to arrive on Saturday, June 15, spend the night in the park, and head out the following day.  The park has hiking trails and a creek that are great for young children.

No prior camping experience is needed!  We are happy to try to coordinate the sharing of gear such as tents, sleeping bags, etc., for those of you who are interested but need to borrow gear, as well as ride sharing.  This worked very well last year! Also, there is no required fee to participate, but we will be requesting an optional $10 donation per family to help cover the cost of site rental.  Families who are able to contribute more in order to help make this an event that is open to all regardless of cost are invited to give more.

We will send out additional information about how to sign up later this spring, but wanted to send this out so you can save the date and mark your calendars!  If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to Rebecca Helgerson or Jessica Salsbury.
