Those who volunteered for the bylaws committee have completed meetings and complied suggestions related to updating the bylaws to better fit with how the SHA and school function.
The next step is the comment period, which is open to the full Association (this means you!). Please reference the current bylaws and proposed amendments via the two attached PDF documents. The suggested changes are highlighted in blue on the amendment PDF. Here are the next steps if you would like to participate in the process.
1) CLICK HERE no later than Jan 13 to submit suggestions, comments or questions
2) CLICK HERE to RSVP for the Bylaws committee meeting for discussion, open to the Association / Jan. 15, 6:15pm - 8:00pm, Takoma campus.
The process will finish based on the timeline below.
Jan. 22: Ballot sent to Association via email/Google form to vote on proposed amendments. Paper ballots will also be available at both campuses.
Jan. 28: Voting by Google form ends.
Jan. 29: SHA meeting. Those who have not yet voted may vote in person at that meeting.
Feb. 5: Results announced
