Ms. Marissa will hold a short meeting with parents that are interested in supporting her work for Native American Heritage Month. If you are able to help with resources, have community contacts, or are simply interested in assisting her efforts, please stop by!
Plans include a fry bread cooking lesson for all classrooms, as well as practical life lessons that include corn husking, and jewelry making. She needs our support in order to bring these experiences to our children. She is requesting a deep fryer (that can be returned by Thanksgiving break), multi-colored corn for cornhusking, large beads (preferably ceramic) that can be strung on bendable wires, pipe cleaners, and wire cutters.
There is a Sign-Up sheet here in Konstella for these items.
