Picture Make-Up Day: January 26, 2022

Picture Day – St. Daniel

Students will be taking pictures during school hours. Parents will have the ability to purchase pictures with an access code that will be available this week.

Make-Up Day: January 26, 2022

Siblings will be able to take photos together during this date in the Cafeteria near the curtain. Briar Vista will coordinate with our teachers the schedule.

We will not be able to have Class Pictures; however, we are hoping the photographer will be able to create a classroom photo for purchase. You will receive a class code from your child's teacher for direct photos from our photographer. Please do not have your child wear dark colors for the photo.

2022 Book Fair Volunteers Needed!

 

Volunteer positions needed: 
  • Collect donations (BEFORE EVENT 3-4) 
Need volunteers to either pick up books & materials donated and/or move them from bins to PTO closet.
  • Hype folks (BEFORE EVENT 3-4)
Pass out flyers and/or direct asks around work, libraries, local businesses, and the neighborhood.
  • Separate donations (BEFORE EVENT 4-5)
Needed to separate materials by age level/genre into boxes in PTO closet
  • Set up & Take Down (BEFORE & AFTER EVENT 2-3)
Need someone to set up tables and tents outdoors for each morning and after school
  • Shift sellers/organizers/greeter (DURING EVENT 2-3 per shift)
Need folks to work the fair and collect payment, write receipts if needed and keep areas tidy

Items needed:
  • Large bins for donations (2-4)
  • Cardboard boxes (To separate books and have them in during sale).
  • Tables to set up items for sale
  • Chairs for tellers
  • Pop-up Tent for cover
  • Working bank for teller to be provided by PTO

VOLUNTEER FORM

School Choice Open Enrollment Window Extended February 11, 2022

The School Choice Open Enrollment window for the 2022 - 2023 lottery will open on Friday, January 7, 2022. On-time applications must be submitted by Friday, February 11, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. The online application website is www.yourchoicedekalb.org. Detailed information about programs and eligibility can be found on the School Choice website at www.dekalbschoolsga.org/school-choice.

Parents, if your child is enrolled in Montessori Kindergarten to Grade 4, you do not have to register again because you are in the program until Grade 5. Parents who have children in Pre-Kindergarten Montessori will need to register for School Choice. We are also excited that Montessori will be opened to students in Grade 1 based on enrollment. Our goal is to fill our entire Montessori Program, please feel free to share and help our program grow.

Parents who have children in Montessori Grade 5: Please to visit the school choice website for your options www.dekalbschoolsga.org/school-choice. Montessori is only offered through Grade 5, you will need to apply to school choice if you are interested by the deadline February 11, 2022.
