A note from Principal Neill:

Greetings BVE Family, Friends, and Community,

We had a wonderful turnout for our Title I Annual Meeting. Please take time to share your feedback and how we can best serve your family by clicking on the link provided below. Thank you so much for your involvement in helping our school thrive in academics, caring, and excellence.

I would like to also thank the parents and families who attended the Spirit Night at Dragon Bowl. It was nice to see your participation and we are grateful for your help with raising money through local support from restaurant owners. I had the privilege to spend some time with our families on Monday, and the food was delish! Friday, we had an Adult carpool with the assistance of Druid Hills High School Beta Club Members and a parent working with us. PTO rocks!! It truly takes a lot of work to keep our students and operations working at Briar Vista!

Please help your child take ownership of their belongings. They are leaving them on the playground, in the cafeteria, and in the gym. We would be sad to see you have to purchase another coat or jacket as a replacement.
I would suggest you label your child's outwear, water bottle, lunch bag, and other items so we can return them to you. There is a lost and found located outside of the cafeteria. Be sure to contact your teacher for assistance if you have not been able to locate all your items.

I appreciate your support and help in Briar Vista, together we will SOAR as Eagles! Have a wonderful weekend! If you would like to contact me, feel free to email me at cammie_neill@dekalbschoolsga.org

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL INFO

Arrival and dismissal are two very important times of day at BVE. Students can NOT be dropped off before 7:10 am. There is no one to supervise them and they cannot be left alone. At 7:45 am students are considered tardy and you must come in to sign them in. The QR code is no longer being used and has been disabled. Students must be picked up by 2:45 pm. If you arrive after 2:45 pm, you must come in and sign them out. Remember too many tardies can cause you to incur the after-school drop-in fees or a call from the social worker. Students may not be picked up for early dismissal after 1:30 pm. This Is a non-negotiable so please plan accordingly and communicate with your student's teacher about early dismissals.

Chromebook User Agreements

Parents, please make sure you have signed the user agreement for your student's chrome book. Students are not allowed per district policy, to use them at school or take them home unless the agreement has been signed. As of Monday, students without an agreement will not be allowed to use a chrome book and this could result in them not being able to complete in-class assignments or homework.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
