Diwali Flash Mob

On November 6th, festive colors, music, and dance exploded into one spectacular Diwali flash mob at Brookvale Elementary. Many people participated in making this event a huge, fun-filled morning for our school. A special thank you goes to the students who participated in the dance and the parents and grandparents who choreographed, taught the dance, and setup the beautiful decorations. A special shout-out to our teacher, Mrs. Bi-On, for her enthusiastic participation and for enabling and encouraging her entire class to participate!

Our PTA supports cultural experiences as part of our children’s education. We highly encourage all parents to come forward to bring more cultural events from different parts of the world to our school. If you are interested in exploring this further, please contact programs@brookvalepta.com.

Family Fun Movie Night

The PTA and the sixth graders are proud to host a showing of Toy Story 4 (Rated G) on Friday, November 15th in the Brookvale MUR. Doors open at 5:30pm, movie starts at 6:00pm, and admission is free. Please bring cash (small bills) if you wish to purchase pizza, snacks, or drinks. Don’t forget to bring pillows, blankets, or lounge chairs. Children are not to be dropped off. Parents must accompany their children at all times.

Science Sunday is Back

Brookvale PTA is very excited to continue our relationship with the Stanford University Chemistry Outreach Program. On Sunday, November 17th, from 3:30-5:30pm, bring your family and friends to the Los Cerritos Community Center for an afternoon of fun-filled, hands-on science activities, including: building a spaghetti tower, how magnets work, acids and bases, science behind chocolate, make your own slime, and more!

Coffee with the Principal

On Tuesday, November 19th, from 10:00-10:45am, all parents and guardians are invited to attend the first chat session with our Principal, Mrs. Malinda Elliott. Please come to the meeting to share your thoughts, suggestions, and concerns about our school. This will be a great opportunity for our school community to come together and get to know our Principal. The FUSD Director of Elementary Education, Ms. Robin Sehrt, will be attending this meeting as well. The chat will be held in the Brookvale MUR, and the PTA will provide coffee and light refreshments.
