Water Stations Have Arrived!
Hooray!! Check out what is new at school. The PTA-sponsored ELKAY water filtration and refill stations are finally installed and the kids love them!!  The water is both filtered and chilled, and arrived just in time for last week’s heat wave. Parents, thank you for your generous donations to the PTA which made this possible!

In Review
PTA Potluck Picnic at Los Cerritos Park
On September 8th, the Brookvale community came together for the PTA Potluck Picnic. It was the perfect way to start off the new year with plenty of amazing food, a welcome address from our PTA President, and a chance for families to get to know each other while children played on the playground. The Principal, Mrs Elliott, and a beloved teacher, Ms. Ynzunza joined us for a great afternoon!

PTA Meeting & Ice Cream Social
On September 10th, we had our first PTA meeting of the school year. Thank you to the families who attended, the volunteers who helped with the event, and the PTA members who voted to approve the following:

  1. Appointment of officers
  2. Release of funds for PTA activities
  3. Approval/adoption of Audit (2018-19)
  4. Approval/adoption of PTA Budget (2019-20)

We also enjoyed a Music for Minors presentation.

Spirit Wear is Here!
Show Your School Spirit! The Brookvale PTA has organized a Spirit Wear sale. Last date to order is Friday, September 20th. Don’t miss out! Extra fliers and a sample shirt may be found in the school office. For questions, contact: communications@brookvalepta.com.
