Currently ALL positions on the Brookvale PTA Executive Board are open for new volunteers to self-nominate and contribute to the Brookvale community. At the bare minimum, the PTA is required to have a President, Treasurer, and Secretary to continue as an organization. Please review the list of positions below and join our next PTA meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 for the election of next year's board.

She will be able to connect you with board members currently in these positions as well as optional training opportunities with current board members and through our parent organization.

PTA Board Position Job Descriptions
(all positions are voting members of the Executive Board)

---ELECTED OFFICERS---

President (required position)
Responsible for leading PTA toward specific goals chosen by its members. Creates agendas for and is presiding officer at Executive Board and Association Meetings.

Treasurer (required position)
Is the authorized custodian of all funds of the PTA. Duties include keeping financial records and preparing reports to comply with State PTA policies as well as local, state and Federal laws.

Secretary (required position)
Keeps an accurate, concise, permanent record of proceedings at all PTA Executive Board and Association Meetings.

VP of Membership
Conducts an annual Membership Campaign.

VP of Programs
Serves as the main point of contact and lead to oversee the planning and execution of PTA events that may include assemblies, workshops, family nights, and special events. 

Auditor
Responsible for performing a Mid-Year and Year-End Audit of the financial books and records in accordance with PTA guidelines. 

Historian
Responsible for collecting the number of PTA volunteer hours of service and preserving a record of PTA activities and achievements for the year. 

---APPOINTED OFFICERS---

Communications Chair
Responsible for all PTA communications with parents and teachers, via flyers, posters, Konstella, Facebook, etc.

Parliamentarian
Responsible for ensuring Bylaws are up-to-date, assists President with conducting meetings and calls the first meeting of the Nominating Committee.

---STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRS---

Fundraising Chair
Responsible for fundraising programs such as dine-out fundraisers, Box Tops, eScrips, Amazon Smile, etc. 

Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW) Chair
Responsible for coordinating activities and volunteers for Teacher Appreciation Week and other
smaller events.

Reflections Chair
Responsible for coordinating student submissions for the Reflections Art Contest.

Talent Show Chair
Responsible for coordinating the annual Talent Show showcasing student talents.

Safety Chair
Responsible for coordinating extracurricular safety events.
