Coming to Bubb: November 13th to November 16th, a week of fun activities to explore issues of acceptance and inclusion, helping students understand that we are all different and special in some ways.

For K, 2nd, and 3rd grades, volunteers will read a grade-specific children’s book and lead related discussions about abilities and inclusion. All scripts and books are provided.

In 1st, 4th and 5th grades, students will participate in simulation activities, run by volunteers, designed to show them the impact of various disabilities.

The theme will carry into the library with a week of story times centered around living with disabilities and a selection of books to further explore.

We need lots of volunteers to make this week happen!!  If you can help with the simulation activities on the morning of November 16th or if you can lead a reading and discussion, please sign up on Konstella. Also plan to attend a required training session for all parent volunteers on Wednesday, November 14th from 9:00-10:00 AM in the MUR.

Please help us make this event a success!

Thank you,

Cary Watson & Amanda Torres
