Hello, Bubb Families! The first day of school is just a little over a week away on August 20. Class lists will be posted at the Welcome Back Social, which will be at Bubb Park on Friday, August 17, from 3:30-5:00 PM. The PTA will have popsicles and other frozen treats available for the kids to enjoy while they catch up with friends. At the same time,you can purchase a Bubb t-shirt and a PTA membership and learn about volunteer opportunities.

Speaking of opportunities to support Bubb…. WATSA (Walkathon and Silent Auction), Bubb’s biggest annual fundraiser, needs your help! Do you have a connection to a business that could contribute an item to the silent auction or that would like to be a WATSA sponsor? Do you have an item that you’d like to donate yourself? Contact Jessica Yeh (cyeh1998@gmail.com) regarding donations, or contact Karin Dillon (karinjdillon@gmail.com) regarding sponsorship opportunities.

URGENT: Data Lead - Auction Items: Create item descriptions and coordinate with co-chairs on Silent Auction catalog. Organize Data Assistants to enter items into auction system.

Volunteer Coordinators: Help the WATSA chairs and leads to identify volunteer needs starting now. On the day of WATSA, direct volunteers to their stations.

Craft Corner Co-leads: Organize and price craft donations leading up to event, busiest 1-2 weeks before WATSA day. Set up Craft Corner on event day with help from parent volunteers. Manage sales. Direct Graham student volunteers. Take down at end of event.

Graham Student Coordinator Co-leads: Organize and supervise the middle-school students that volunteer at WATSA. Before the event, coordinate Graham students stuffing goody bags for the walkers and folding Silent Auction brochures. Record and report block G-points.

Auction Event Management Co-leads: Oversee the auction setup and bidder sheets before event. Coordinate auction item procurement for winners at checkout.

Solicitations Assistants: Help with follow up on solicitations and help gather a few more items for the auction.

Data Lead - Auction Items: Create item descriptions and coordinate with co-chairs on Silent Auction catalog. Organize Data Assistants to enter items into auction system.

Data Assistant - Copywriter: Write or edit fun descriptions, if needed, for auction items.

Wine Cellar Coordinator: Organize the Wine Cellar - Receive and collect all donated wine from Bubb parents. Create a listing of the wines that have been donated. Oversee volunteers who will man the wine raffle sign up. Label numbers for the wines - at check out people can pick up their particular wine.

Silent Auction Follow-up Co-Lead:  About a month before each auction party, extract the list of winning bidders and their contact information from the database and email the party hosts. Coordinate the reservation of seats at the winter and spring concerts for auction winners.
