This instruction-based chess program is offered for student grades K through 5, beginners welcome. The NEW program format includes:

(1) Group instruction on game rules, strategy and etiquette.
(2) Over-the-board one-on-one instruction.
(3) Home assignments for voluntary subject reinforcements.
(4) Online activities and workbook support recommendations. NEW!
(5) In-class paired casual and RATED group play. NEW!
(6) Session-end PRIZE tournament. NEW!

Program meetings for this 10-week session will be from 3:20 to 4:20 PM on Tuesdays: Oct 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Nov 12, 26, Dec 3, 10 and 17. The program is for students grades K through 5, no prior experience necessary. There is NO CLASS on Nov 5 and 19.
