Tomorrow (Friday, November 10) immediately after school (3:30-4:30 pm) our Bugbee Girls on the Run team will be doing their Practice 5k around the Bugbee field. We invite the entire Bugbee community to come out and cheer on the team. We will have cow bells and cheer posters for spectators to hold around the field as the girls run, walk, hop, skip and dance to the finish line (16 laps around the field)!
This is a big deal for the girls and they have been training hard these past 8 weeks in preparation, training 2 times a week and have learned what it means to be strong, confident, and connected.
Through the GOTR program, 3rd-5th grade girls work together as a team to explore valuable lessons that incorporate physical activity in a fun and engaging way such as:
• The importance of expressing their emotions and understanding their worth
• Standing up for themselves and others
• Building confidence and resiliency
The practice 5K will show the girls all the areas that they have improved in their cardiovascular and emotional stamina and will give them confidence so they can do their best at the season ending 5K on December 3 at the Blue Back Mitten Run.
We hope to see you at the Bugbee field tomorrow! GIRLS ON THE RUN IS SO MUCH FUN!!!⭐️
