The West Hartford Parent Community Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Groups in collaboration with the WHPS Equity and Diversity Council are thrilled to share that Kevin Booker Jr., founder of Booker Empowerment LLC and New London City Councilor, will be facilitating a session on “Exploring the Advocate Within” for the next Family and School Partnership Series!
During our time together, we will:

*Evening Session—Wednesday, March 18, 2029 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM
Due to the interactive nature of the event, space is limited to 35 participants per session. Registration is REQUIRED to reserve your space.

As a district with a large Asian population (11%, second largest minority group), and with news of local Asian restaurants seeing a decline in customers, here are some resources to proactively speak to your children about the racism and xenophobia that has been brought up by COVID19. Let's support our Asian and Asian American students and families in our community by disrupting bias.

Thank you for being invested in our school community and coming together in forums like this to make sure that all our children have the opportunity to succeed. We all play a part in their learning and growth!
