Dear Sticky Families,
We are thrilled to announce a brand-new initiative designed to foster the love of reading among our young learners.
How It Works
One Book at a Time: Each family is welcome to borrow one book at a time from our collection.
Library at the Entrance: Our curated collection of books will be on display near the entrance of the classroom, making it easy for you to choose your next adventure. Return books to the display once your child is done or into the overflow beneath it. Books will be refreshed every 2-4 weeks.
Logging Borrowed Books: We've set up a special binder for families to log which books they borrow. It's an honor system, built on trust and respect within our close-knit community.
Tracking Reading Progress: Keep track of your child's reading journey with our log sheets. Watching their reading skills grow is a wonderful way to celebrate and foster their interests.
Book Bags: A plastic book bag was delivered to every child's cubby cubby. The book bag can build independence and create fun routine of carrying their borrowed book to and from school. The clear design is to increase visibility and encourage taking the books out to read.
No Overdue Fees: We understand that life can get busy, so there are no overdue fees. However, we kindly request that books be returned before the last day of school.
Lost Books: If a book happens to go missing, don't worry! Families can purchase the book and return it to the school. We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain our book collection.
This program aims to promote a lifelong love for reading and encourages family involvement in your child's education. We believe that reading together is a wonderful way to bond and create lasting memories.
Let's embark on this literary adventure together! We can't wait to see our little readers dive into the world of books.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to Vanessa Lee on Konstella or one of the teachers.
