We are excited to participate in the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco after 3 years off due to Covid. This parade is one of the largest CNY celebrations outside of Asia. This year is the year of the Water Rabbit which symbolizes longevity, peace, and prosperity.

All students are welcome to come partake in the parade. No experience is necessary, and you do not need to be in ASEP class to join. The parade is February 4, 2023. This will be an experience for the kids to participate, spread cultural awareness, and represent CLIP at the same time. • The Cupertino Union School District Student Field Trip Waiver and Parent Consent Form Day Trip form will need to be filled out and handed to us.

Items to be aware of

• Practices will run every Wednesday (Dec 14, 21, Jan 11, 18,25, and Feb 1) from 3:10-4:45 in the GLC & school courtyard.

• Parent assistance is mandatory. We will need help with costumes, props, running practices, managing sub teams, and parade day chaperones.

• Donation Request: $45/participant for costumes, props, bus transportation, parade meal & other costs.
