We would like to showcase the many wonderful and different cultures that exist in our community.
COUNTRY BOOTH VOLUNTEER : Please sign up to put together a booth that helps educate event attendees about a specific country. For example: what does the flag look like, what is the national food, famous people, most popular tourist spot, national past-time, interesting facts, etc. NOTE: IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR CULTURE. You can design an informational display for ANY country. CLIPCO will provide a table for your presentation / showcase on Friday, May 5th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Each country MUST include A GAME, preferably a game that represents the country (trivia, children's game, guessing game, etc). Muir students will receive a passport for the event day and have the opportunity to receive a free prize when they visit the different country booths and collect the stamps. Participation instructions will be sent to teams once signup closes, and how to apply for a material reimbursement of up to $30 per country booth. You can pick up a trifold display board for your booth tomorrow Thurs. 4/27 from 8:30-9:00 AM in front of the office.
Recruit friends or join a country and make new friends. For the country to be represented on the event day – there must be a minimum of one person signed up by April 27th.
The actual event Country Booth showcase will take place on Friday, May 5 from 5:00-7:00pm. Please set-up your booth on the blacktop or field between 4:30-5:00pm. After 7:00pm, please pack-up and remove your display. Each country will have an assigned table. Unfortunately, due to the lack of outdoor outlets, we will NOT be able to supply electrical power.
