ASEP Erhu, Dizi and Zhongruan - Level 2

This committee is for Level 1 Erhu, DiZi and Zhongruan 

Mondays - 3:45P-4:45P (4th through 8th grade)

 

  •  Dizi - Chinese Bamboo Flute - Learn basic playing techniques of the Chinese bamboo flute. The

     

  • teacher is from the California Youth Chinese Symphony.

  •   Er-hu - Chinese string instrument - Learn basic playing techniques of the Chinese 2 string

    bowed instrument.The teacher is from the California Youth Chinese Symphony.

  •  Zhongruan - Chinese plucked stringed instrument. The zhongruan has a straight neck with 24

    frets on the fingerboard and 4 strings. It is usually played with a plectrum (guitar pick). It can also be played with fingers (index finger and thumb with acrylic nails), which is similar to the way of playing the pipa (琵琶). The teacher is from the California Youth Chinese Symphony.
