Good Evening

Some of your students may have already shared with you that Mrs. Gribben has taken a full time position at Irvington High School.  We are very sad to see her go but understand the reasonings behind it.  She will be missed at Chadbourne but Irvington are lucky to have her.

She wanted to share a message with the community.

Dear Chadbourne Community,

It has been a great pleasure teaching your children life-long fitness through my physical education program during my 8 years at Chadbourne. It was a difficult decision, however I was offered an incredible opportunity to teach PE at Irvington High School. This experience will help to further my career in the education field.

As my final days came to an end last week, I couldn’t help but look around in awe. I am SO incredibly proud of every student at Chadbourne Elementary School.  We have spent years learning not just about fitness, but about life. Through our physical education classes, we have created a safe environment for students to be themselves, and to try things that they were fearful of trying before. We learned how to release our everyday stresses so that we can make our bodies strong.  We have learned how to make fitness part of our everyday lives so that we can keep ourselves healthy for the many years ahead. We know that we might not be our best everyday-but we need to TRY our best no matter what. We know how to communicate with others to strengthen our team. These are valuable lessons that will carry over for the rest of our lives.

Thank you for your support throughout the years.  Chadbourne will always have a piece of my heart. I have enjoyed watching your children grow. Best wishes for the years to come and remember to keep in touch!

Farewell,

Mrs. Gribben
