Hi Patterson Families,

There are so many events happening at Patterson this week!

First, we are celebrating our veterans this week with activitiesand lessons designed to teach students the importance of honoringthe dedication and sacrifices that our veterans make for us. We areflying American flags in front of our school and flags from eachbranch of the military in our hallways. Also, tomorrow is red,white, and blue/patriotic dress day. Thank you, Patterson familyveterans for your service.

The second event this week is our first ever celebration ofNational Hope Week. Patterson is one of the first schools in ourdistrict to celebrate this special week. There is a flyer attachedwith information about Hope Week and the importance of hope in ourdaily lives.

Next, it is Cash for Classrooms week throughout CUSD. Thisfundraiser provides opportunities for our teachers to writegrants to purchase supplies for classroom enrichment. Many of ourteachers have received grant money from this fundraiser in thepast, and we are looking forward to the creative grants ourteachers will write this year. Information will be coming home withyour children. If you are able, please consider a donation to CUSD,we are grateful for your support.

Looking ahead to next week, our 5 th grade is sponsoring our annual Snowflake Giving Tree.The tree will be in the front office decorated withsnowflakes. Each snowflake will list a holiday gift item intendedfor children ages birth-18 years old by age range. If your familywishes to participate, please select a snowflake(s) from the GivingTree. Purchase the listed item and attach the snowflake to the unwrapped gift you have purchased. This Pay It Forwardproject will run from November 16 th to December 11 th. All donations benefit CUSDfamilies. Thank you, 5 th grade for sharing this opportunity with our Pattersoncommunity.
