Dear Community Park Family:

Many of our children’s most memorable experiences at Community Park School are the work of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)—of which we’re all members. Last year, those experiences included setting off rockets on STEAM Day, creating Mexican spirit animals (Alebrijes) with an artist-in-residence, and performing Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing with McCarter Theater staff. We provide teachers and students with classroom supplies. We ensure that all children receive a school shirt and equitable opportunities to attend after school clubs, summer camps, and more. 

The reality is that, even in a community as bountiful as Princeton, many funding gaps remain at our school and are filled only through your generosity. 

This year, the PTO aims to raise $50,000—more than $150 per child enrolled at CP in order to continue funding our children’s favorite enrichment activities, support our dedicated staff, and advance the work of the Parker Bear Fund, which assists low-income families at our school. 

While we hold many fundraisers throughout the year, direct donations from parents and caregivers are a key source of revenue for the PTO.  We know there are many worthy causes and campaigns competing for your attention, but we ask that every family consider giving as much or as little as they can. We suggest $150/child but welcome any amount that works for your family.  Together we can continue building a dynamic, egalitarian, and nurturing learning community for all of our children.
