Hello CP Families-
I hope this message finds you all well and enjoying the last few days of summer break!
As the new school year fast approaches, we are starting to prepare for the Fall clubs session which will begin during the week of October 11th and will be in-person and outside. The clubs will start immediately after school at 3:10pm and end at 4pm. Remote clubs will also be offered.
For those of you new to the school, the CP PTO After-School clubs program was started in 2015 by CP PTO parent volunteers, and continues to be run by CP PTO parent volunteers. This year, many of the volunteers are no longer at CP (their kids have moved on to the middle school or have moved) and we are in desperate need to fill their roles. The roles are listed below and the majority of work takes place for right before the clubs start, and during the first week of clubs. NOTE - Committee volunteers do not need to be onsite to help. The roles available are:
-Registration Coordinator: Coordinates and communicates with CP front office. Provides rosters and manages room/location assignments. Sends this information to club instructor.
-Dismissal Coordinator: Manages the dismissals of the students (you don't need to be at dismissal, you just need to make sure there are parent volunteers for the different groups).
-Parent volunteer recruiter
-Spanish translation and outreach coordinator
As a club volunteer, your child will attend a club at no cost to you for each session, and you will be able to register before the general registration begins. If you are interested, please sign up below or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more information.
We have been happy to provide the clubs program to our students and hope to continue doing so for years to come. We can't do this without volunteers and hope you will consider joining us.
