What: A fun, low-key opportunity for students to study and showcase a science topic that is exciting to them (it's not a competition)
Where: Community Park School
When: Wednesday, May 24 from 6:30-8 p.m.
Why: To foster a spirit of scientific inquiry and give kids an opportunity to practice important skills such as reading, writing, spelling, math, logical thinking, presentation, scientific methodology, and public speaking
How: Students present their projects to their peers and a panel of science-minded parents
Topics students have shared at previous science fairs have included holograms, quicksand, crystals, sound, electricity, eddy currents, photosynthesis, polymers, thin film interference, water bears, DNA, and more!
We hope you will encourage your children to participate. Last year's CP Science Fair Website has lots of information on how to get started and what's expected.
