Dear Parents/Guardians,
CP will be celebrating World Kindness Day, November 13th, throughout the month of November. World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself and to the world. The purpose of this day is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together. Not only is kindness contagious, it is free, easy to do and is important.
During the month of November, your child will be participating in classroom lessons focused on kindness, empathy and gratitude. Each student will have the opportunity to reflect on what they are most grateful for which will be displayed in the main hallway.
This year we have partnered with TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen). TASK’s mission is to feed those who are hungry in the Trenton area while offering programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life. During the month of November, we will be collecting donations for canned goods and food pantry items. Please visit their website for more information. Donations can be dropped off to the main office from November 1st to the 21st .
Lastly, back by popular demand, Monday, November 14th will be a school-wide Spirit Day! We are asking students and staff to dress in their favorite pajamas to encourage our school’s sense of community.
We hope these school-wide activities will spark conversations at school and home about the importance of kindness, compassion, and gratitude!
With kindness,
