AROUND SCHOOL

CP Spanish Summer Camp
July 6-9 & 12-16 from 9am to Noon

CP Spanish Summer Camp is back! Immerse your student in guided activities, water play, games, and more--all taught in Spanish by teachers. Early drop off is available, plus a discount for parents who volunteer for a single day. Register by May 31 and receive a 10% Early Bird discount.

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast

CP families appreciate our teachers every day! To show them some extra love ahead of official Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7), the PTO provided a faculty breakfast last Friday, April 23. The menu included mini egg soufflés, pastries, yogurt parfait, coffee, and lots of gratitude.

Spring Clubs Still Available

Spring Clubs start next week and there are still a few spots open! Check out the roster of remote AND in-person clubs on konstella: fencing, eco-art, scienceseeds, yoga, and more. To register, visit CP's Homeroom.com portal

Book Fair is Coming
May 4, 6 & 7 from 8 a.m. to Noon
May 8 from 10 a.m. to Noon

The CP Book Fair is almost here! The Book Fair will take place next week outside, behind the school, and masks and social distancing are required. We're still looking for a few volunteers to help set up and staff the multi-day event. Please sign up here.

Each class will walk through the CP Book Fair during the week to preview the books and compile a wish list for your convenience. The wish list will be sent home with your student, along with instructions on how to return payment. Additionally, you can visit the Book Fair any time it is open to purchase books with your child. There will also be a Teacher’s Wish List available, should you wish to donate a book to a classroom, a specials class, or the library.

Make Up/Retake Portraits
Monday, May 3

Any students who missed picture day last fall or who need retakes, may schedule a make up session for Monday, May 3. To schedule a session or get more info, please contact Kim Byko at aquagirl228@yahoo.com

YOUR SUPPORT

Spring Garden Sale
Order plants online through Monday, May 3
Pick up plants at CP on Thursday, May 6, and Friday, May 7

Ready to dig in the dirt?
The CP PTO is selling flowers, vegetables, and herb plants to get your home garden flourishing this growing season. Purchase your plants on Konstella by Monday, May 3 and pick them up at CP on May 5 & 6. (The plants will be provided by the locally-owned KubePak Nursery.)
All proceeds support our School Garden, including enlarging the turtle pond and building new garden beds. The expanded beds will help the garden to increase its donation of fresh vegetables to Princeton Mobile Food Pantry throughout the summer.

It's Time to Use Your Perks Card
Card sales end Friday, April 30

Thanks to everyone who made the Princeton Perks Discount Card fundraiser a success! We raised more than $2,800, all of which is earmarked for summer camps for our Parker Bear students. Since its launch in February, some 80 local retailers and restaurants have signed on to offer cardholders special deals (see the latest list at princetonperks.com and if you still need a card, you may purchase here by April 30).
Just please don’t forget to use your Princeton Perks card. Don’t put it in a drawer! And if you’ve hesitated to use it because you think you’re helping businesses by not taking a discount, don’t hold back. None of these businesses would have joined if they didn’t want you to use the discount. Instead your card should be a reason to patronize your favorite places even more frequently, or to splurge on a more expensive item, or to try someplace new. Get out and shop and eat and enjoy!
