Volunteers Needed: Garden State on Your Plate

The Garden State On Your Plate program needs parent volunteers to assist students at their lunchtime chickpea tasting on Thursday, February 8.

A local guest chef or farmer will be on hand to introduce students to a different kind of New Jersey produce. Food Service will support the program by prepping the produce!

GSOYP is coordinated by the Princeton School Gardens Cooperative, in conjunction with the district Food Systems Literacy Coordinator.  Princeton School Gardens Cooperative fosters garden- and food-based education in the classroom, cafeteria and community.

Host a CP Yard Sign

It's open enrollment season for PPS Pre-K and Kindergarten. Please help our school to raise the visibility of the DLI program by hosting a yard sign for a few weeks. Anyone interested may request one by emailing cppto@cppto.org and letting us know when you'd prefer to grab it from CP (drop off, 3 p.m. pick up, or Aftercare pick up). Thanks for spreading the word about DLI!

Arm in Arm Food Drive

PPS schools are collecting food for Arm in Arm this Valentine's Day! The next time you head to the store, please consider grabbing a few items on the list below to bring to school.

Donations may be dropped in the CP front office between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. through February 29.

Request for Auction Items

We're looking for donations to our online auction! In the past CP families have donated:

  • Tickets to a sporting or cultural event
  • A special item, such as an autographed poster, a case of wine, or a gift basket
  • An experience provided by an expert in their household or network, such as private yoga, cooking, or language lessons; a consultation with a stylist, architect, or home organizer; or a special tour of a lab, gallery, or museum
  • A service, such as free babysitting (usually offered by an older sibling) or a custom cake or cookies provided by a professional or semi-professional baker
  • A stay at their family's second home

If you have something to donate, please complete this form by February 15. We appreciate your help!

Fundraiser for 101: The PHS College Fund

The 101: Fund invites you to join our spring fundraising event, College Throwback Night, an evening of music, games, libations and (old)-school spirit on Saturday, March 9 at the historic Princeton Charter Club

This will be our first live event in over 5 years, and back by popular demand, a casual wear-your-college-sweatshirt evening! Relive your youthful Saturday nights, with basement bar games, signature cocktails and Charter Club’s ample buffet - known to be one of the best.

All money raised will directly support recent Princeton High School graduates who are well prepared for college, but find the cost an overwhelming hurdle. Many recipients of our need-based scholarship are the first in their families to pursue a degree. In 2023 alone, the 101: Fund spent $141,000 supporting students attending institutions such as Rutgers University, Mercer County Community College, Cornell University and Howard University, to name a few.

The 101: Fund has been brightening the futures of promising students for over 50 years! Our hope is to continue to raise the funds needed with your support! We hope to see you there!
