First Friday Coffee
Friday, October 1, 8:15-8:45 a.m.

Stop in for a quick coffee and chat with other parents and special guests on the first Friday of every month. To kick off our first First Friday Coffee this year, we will be joined by Betsy Baglio, our school's liaison member of the Board of Education and a former CP parent.

These events take place outside under the awning at CP's main entrance, weather permitting. This Friday looks sunny, crisp and perfect for a cuppa. (Coffee is on us!)

5th Grade Parent Meeting
Thursday, September 30, 7-8 p.m.

Hey 5th grade parents! Our kids have a big year ahead: Special 5th grade-only events and swag, their moving on celebration, legacy gift, and more....

Please join us for a short, virtual 5th grade parent meeting on Thursday, September 30, from 7-8:00 p.m., where will discuss what activities to put on their calendars and divvy up responsibilities to make it all happen.

Help Chalk CP's Walk
Wednesday, October 6, 3:30 p.m.

Help decorate the sidewalks around CP with chalk pictures and inspiration in preparation for Walk-Bike-Scooter-Skateboard-Hoverboard to School Day. Volunteers may sign up here. Drop in to help anytime after 3:30 p.m. Bring a friend or sibling. We'll provide the chalk.

Join the "Celebrations of Culture" Committee

Want to help bring elements of global culture into CP classrooms? Do you have family or cultural traditions that you could share with our school community? Join the Celebrations of Culture committee! This month's focus will be Hispanic Heritage Month! Please contact rorypickett@gmail.com or join the committee via Konstella!

Fundraising Update: Where We're At

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the many families who've generously given to our direct donations drive or participated in the Jules and Nomad pizza nights! Thanks to you we're one quarter of the way to our goal of raising $40,000 this year. And if you haven't yet had an opportunity to give, please consider how you might help support our CP students and staff, with a financial gift or fall flower purchase or donated item for our online auction--or by volunteering at a future event.

How To Make a Direct Donation:

  • Venmo: Send Venmo payment to @CPPTO.
  • Zelle: Send Zelle payment to treasurer@cppto.org.
(Zelle is a free, secure service available via most banks and credit unions.)
  • Credit Card: Click here, then scroll down to the orange "Donate" button.
  • Check: Payable to "CP PTO" mailed or dropped off to Community Park School, Attn: CP PTO, 372 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, NJ, 08542.

NOTE: Donations to the CP PTO are tax deductible (EIN #22-3600180). If your employer matches charitable donations, please send your Matching Funds Application to treasurer@cppto.org

Fall Flower Sale
Order via Konstella now through Monday, October 4
Pick up at CP October 6 & 7

The PTO is selling mums, pansies, and fall planters. Place your order here and pick up your flowers at the school. Easy peasy! All proceeds will support CP's educational garden.

SOS: Auction Items Needed

The PTO is organizing an online auction--which we hope will be our biggest fundraiser of the year(!?)--and we need your help. Please consider how your family might contribute an item or experience for the auction.

Past donations to CP's in-person auctions have included a wide range of items: babysitting, a year's worth of oil changes, a custom cake, a case of wine, and even a week's stay in an Italian villa. Sign up here or email Fundraising Co-Chairs Constanza Ferro and Daniela Cravero at fundraising@cppto.org.
