Registration Starts Monday, December 9, at 8 p.m.
The weather outside may be frightful but there are many delightful Winter Clubs awaiting your student: Archery, dance, and a variety of arts, crafts, and games. Browse Winter Clubs here.
And don't forget: Club registration has moved to a new platform called Homeroom. Create your Homeroom account here. We highly recommend setting up your account before registration starts on Monday, December 9, at 8 p.m. If you have any questions about registration, please email Katie Stoltzfus-Dueck at email@example.com.
Club scholarships are available for students based on financial need. To request a scholarship, please email the CP Parker Bear Fund at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the CP main office at 609-806-4230 for more information.
CP Recital: **Volunteer Needed**
CP's annual music recital is fast approaching--but it can't happen without a parent or caregiver volunteer.
- Coordinating a date with the school
- Notifying students and parents of the opportunity
- Organizing the event.

Spread the Word: DLI Info Session

Each year, we depend on new families entering and strengthening CP's Dual Language Immersion program.
|Please encourage any interested families in your social orbit to attend the December 10 info session. Priscilla Russell, the District Supervisor of World Languages, ESL/Bilingual and Dual Language Immersion Programs, and Principal Dineen Gruchascz will explain how the program works and answer questions.|

The next CP PTO meeting will feature two PPS district speakers: Superintendent Steve Cochrane will discuss priorities for the school year; and Tim Charleston, Supervisor of Social Studies Pre-K-8, will address security-related changes at CP. Please join us.
Share Holiday Cheer with Parker Bear Families

Please help us to provide holiday gift cards for each of our Parker Bear* families. The gift cards will help families to make purchases based on their own needs this holiday season. Donations may be made via Konstella, now through Monday, December 16. Please consider giving any amount. Every bit will help brighten this season for our friends.
Note: Gifts are eligible for employer matching contributions.
*The Parker Bear Fund provides after school and summer enrichment opportunities for CP students in the free and reduced lunch program, as well as material needs to promote equity in school activities.
CP Gear Holiday Sale
Now Through Tuesday, December 17
Help clean out the PTO closet! Save up to 30 percent on most CP spirit gear--including school shirts, water bottles, and tote bags. Also check out our super discounted "vintage" items (e.g., with old CP logos). Items will be delivered to your student's classroom within one-to-three school days. All proceeds support CP.
Second Chance Toy Drive
Ends Friday, December 6
|Bring your gently-used plastic toys to the CP lobby and they will be passed along to another lucky child through the non-profit Second Chance Toys. The Student Green Team is leading this drive to keep non-biodegradable plastics out of landfills. Please do not donate plush toys, or toys with lots of small parts, or broken or missing pieces. 3rd Grade Pajama Drive
Ends Today, Tuesday, December 3
Today is the last day of Mrs. Magnus's 3rd Grade pajama drive! Drop your *new* pajamas in the collection box in the CP Lobby by this afternoon. The class will accept all sizes--from newborn to adult--and for all seasons. Pajamas must be a complete set (with a top and bottom, or a onesie).
For every pajama set collected, Scholastic Book Clubs will donate a brand-new book to Pajama Program to give to kids who are affected by instability.
Pajama Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes and supports a comforting bedtime routine for children facing challenges beyond their control.
Las Manos Amigas*: Teaching a Lifetime of Giving
|'Tis the season to teach children about the many ways they can incorporate giving into their regular activities throughout the year. The Giving Book: Open the Door to a Lifetime of Giving by Ellen Sabin encourages children to see the value in sharing with others and helps them understand how their actions affect the world around them.|
Las Manos Amigas is a weekly community-oriented activity suggested by CP PTO's Community Outreach duo, Sarah Torian and Dena Hoffman.
Gingerbread House Workshops
Saturday, December 7, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7 p.m.
Where: Morven House
Build your own gingerbread house. Building materials and refreshments provided. Registration required.
Where: John Witherspoon Middle School, Library Learning Commons
Join Superintendent Steve Cochrane, Assistant Superintendent Annie Kosek, Director of Student Services Micki Crisafulli, and Supervisor of Guidance K-12 Kristina Donovan, to hear about the district's priorities and actions to support students with special learning needs. Parents will also have an opportunity to ask questions and to share their thoughts.
|P.S. - We Hear You|
We heard that Konstella announcements were clogging your inbox and getting you down. So in an effort to declutter your electronic life but still keep you informed about everything happening at CP, the PTO will be sending you this weekly newsletter. You will hear from us every Tuesday morning--and that's pretty much it. All of the usual announcements, sign ups, and sales, will still be available anytime on Konstella. We just won't notify you every single time a post drops. The exceptions will be calendar reminders and an occasional urgent communication, such as an imminent event change or cancellation.
