The Garden State On Your Plate program needs parent volunteers to assist students at their lunchtime tasting on Thursday, February 8.

At each tasting event, a local guest Chef or Farmer will be on hand to introduce students to a different kind of New Jersey produce, how it is farmed, the different ways it can be prepared, and how the students or chef may alter the flavor. Food Service will be supporting the program by prepping the produce for each of the tastings.

GSOYP is coordinated by the Princeton School Gardens Cooperative, in conjunction with the district Food Systems Literacy Coordinator.  Princeton School Gardens Cooperative fosters garden- and food-based education in the classroom, cafeteria and community (PSGCOOP.ORG).
