Parents: come view the CP ofrenda tomorrow (TUESDAY 11/1)!
Mon, Oct 31 4:24pm

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month (a little late) and as part of the DLI program goal of achieving cultural competency, CP school and the CP PTO have created a whole-school ofrenda to celebrate Día de los Muertos. Each grade level learned about the symbolism of the elements of the traditional Mexican ofrenda and created a piece of art to be included in the final product.

Now, the completed ofrenda is on display in the CP Cafeteria. On Tuesday (Día de los Muertos) the students will all see a presentation by one of our community members, Anjelica García, to learn more about the tradition.

Parents are welcome to come visit the ofrenda and see the beautiful finished product!

Date: Tuesday, November 1

Time: 8-8:30 a.m. (at drop off) and 3-3:30 p.m. (at pick up)

PLEASE ENTER VIA CAFETERIA DOORS not via the main school entrance

Thank you to all the Room Parents, teachers, students, and of course to Ms. Gruchacz for supporting this work of art and culture! A big thank you to Mathilde Schindler for her incredible hard work to make this happen!

Sincerely,

the CP PTO
