Seeking Presenters for CP STEM Expo - May 23
We are calling on parents in STEM related fields to help us put together another exciting day of learning and inspiration for our students during the CP STEM Expo on Wednesday, May 23.
Now in its third year, this annual event is designed to expose students to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math experiences that will take their everyday learning to the next level. Last year’s demonstrations included virtual reality, black holes, plasma and electricity, fragrance, x-rays, neuroscience, venus fly traps, robotics, circuits, fire, jumping spiders, dark matter, emulsion, and the search for extra terrestrials!
Sponsored by the CP PTO, this parent-led event takes place during the entire school day. Volunteers present topics, demonstrations, or lead hands-on activities that last for about 15 minutes at a time as classes cycle through.
We are hoping many of you will volunteer and bring forth amazing ideas to make this year's CP STEM Expo a big success. For those who presented in previous years, building on your prior presentations to take students in a new direction or deeper into the topic is great for continuity.
Please email Jesse Lerman (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your interest and the topic for your proposed demo or with any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.
