Fundraising for the Popcorn Park Zoo Animal Refuge is ending this week
(last day is tomorrow)!
Thank you for your donations! 5th grade met with the Popcorn Park Refuge director last week to learn about the important work they do and their needs. They shared information about how they try to create a safe and peaceful life for their animals. We learned about some of the animals they take care of, like their rarest animal, a white tiger named Khaya and we saw a Lavender Skunk named Buddha! Their refuge is a non-profit facility, so our fundraiser will really make a difference! 5th graders were so inspired by the visit, they plan to make enrichment items for the animals as part of a community service project. For example, they can make paper pinatas, cardboard toys, and other materials that will help the animals keep busy, alert, and get exercise!
